Purple Codens is an AI development orchestration tool where a deterministic workflow engine controls the process — from ticket (task) intake through implementation, testing, and pull request creation — and lets AI coding agents execute it unattended. Which repositories and languages are supported?

Install the GitHub App and connect your target repositories. You deploy your project-specific coding standards, operational rules, and instruction docs from the Web UI, so it is not limited to a particular language or framework. Notion and Slack integrations let you slot it into your existing ticket and notification setup.

Is there human review and what safeguards exist?

Live session views let you watch the AI work in real time, inject additional instructions mid-run, or pause and hand off to a human. When review feedback exists, the task enters a "Waiting Human" state for human review. You also get a complete audit trail, per-organization permissions and data isolation (tenant isolation), and SSO/role management via auth.codens.ai.

How do pricing and credits work?

Five-tier subscription model (Free 14-day trial / Hobby ¥3,000 / Pro ¥10,000 / Business ¥50,000 / Enterprise) with a monthly credit allowance per plan. New signups start with a 14-day free trial (30,000 credits, no card). When you exceed your monthly allowance, top-up packs are available from ¥1,000 = 100,000 credits with up to +15% bonus. Credits are shared across the Codens family (Red / Blue / Green / Purple) via a common organization pool.

Will the AI go off the rails?

No — the deterministic workflow engine controls every step, so the AI can't run unchecked. The implementation verification step (verify_implementation) automatically retries up to 2 times on failure, and escalates to a human if it still can't resolve the issue. PR merges wait for human review by default, with auto-merge available as an opt-in.

Can I follow how the implementation was done?

The live session view shows every step in real time — branch creation, AI implementation, tests, PR creation — along with the execution log. A complete audit trail is kept after completion, so you can trace exactly what happened.

How is this different from Devin?

Devin is an autonomous agent that decides its own task order as it goes. Purple Codens instead uses a deterministic workflow engine to control each step, with verification gates and retry caps you design up front. Purple also automatically receives implementation tasks from other Codens Suite products — PRDs from Green, bugs from Red, and review findings from Orange.

Can I use it from MCP?
